Map shows the location and sizes of water distribution pipes from the Fairmount Water Works to Philadelphia and parts of Moyamensing and Southwark. Also noted are the location of each of the 1,015 fire hydrants in the system. Unlike other maps of the period, this one differentiates between streets that are built and those that “not yet laid.” 2008.001.0022
